Use EvidoClip through MCP.
EvidoClip provides a remote MCP service for AI clients that support its OAuth connection flow. It works with your own EvidoClip account and private tasks. The service endpoint is https://evidoclip.com/mcp.
Connect your account
- In your MCP-capable client's server connection settings, enter
https://evidoclip.com/mcpand choose OAuth. Client controls and availability vary. - Open the EvidoClip authorization page, sign in and check the account and requested permissions.
- Approve the requested access and use “Return and complete connection” if shown.
- Ask the assistant to list your tasks first, without checking or starting a video.
Codex and ChatGPT have been used for connection testing. A remote connection is separate from plugin directory approval or a marketplace listing; this page does not claim either.
Tools and their effects
list_jobslists up to 50 recent tasks for the authorized account.get_jobretrieves a task's state and available AI text result. It may also reconcile a pending task's state and minute settlement; it is not a side-effect-free read.check_videochecks a supported public YouTube, TikTok or Instagram URL and creates a draft. It does not invoke model analysis or debit analysis minutes. Clients supply and reuse arequest_keyon retries.start_analysisstarts an existing task after explicit confirmation of title, duration and expected usage. It can consume free or paid analysis allowance. The client passes the expected debit anduser_confirmed: true; changed costs must be checked again.
Permissions and control
jobs:read permits task access. jobs:write is also needed for video checks and analysis. Access is scoped to the account that grants authorization. You can revoke access from Connected applications. Never share passwords, access tokens or authorization callback URLs.
A controlled workflow
First ask: “List my EvidoClip tasks only. Do not start analysis.” To process a video, ask the assistant to check the URL, show the title, duration and expected debit, and wait for your confirmation. Once you confirm, it can start analysis and retrieve the result.
Which workflow should I choose?
Use the website when you want to review the video title, quote and results directly in a workspace. Use MCP when you want a connected assistant to work with your EvidoClip tasks in a conversation. Both use your account's access and allowance; connecting MCP does not create a second free trial or an unlimited analysis plan.
Example request: check first, then decide
Check this public video URL with EvidoClip. Show me its title, duration and expected minute usage. Do not start analysis until I confirm.
This is an example instruction, not a claim that a particular video has been processed. After checking, inspect the quote before authorizing analysis. If you only want existing results, ask to list your tasks first and select the task you recognize.
What if connection or analysis fails?
- Login opens the workspace: return to the authorization tab and choose “I have signed in, continue authorization” if shown.
- Authorization has expired: start a fresh connection from your client instead of repeatedly submitting the old page.
- Insufficient minutes: analysis cannot start with the current allowance. Review your account in the website; reconnecting MCP does not add minutes.
- The video is inaccessible: check the original URL and its public availability. Do not provide browser cookies or credentials to bypass restrictions.
MCP access does not remove video access limits, account quotas or the need to verify AI output. See supported content and limitations. Connecting the service does not authorize every future analysis automatically.
