Read useful content from videos across three platforms.
EvidoClip analyzes accessible public YouTube videos (including Shorts), TikTok videos and Instagram Reels. It produces AI-generated text covering spoken content, visible on-screen text and a summary. Use it to review a video, collect research notes or organize content before checking important details against the original.
How does video analysis work?
- Paste a supported public video URL and sign in to your EvidoClip account.
- Check the title, duration and estimated usage. Checking creates a draft; it does not start model analysis or debit analysis minutes.
- Confirm the analysis and its estimated usage. Processing starts only after confirmation.
- Read the result in your private workspace and open the source video to verify important claims.
What can I extract?
- Summary: a written account of the video's main content.
- Speech: a model-generated transcription of spoken content.
- On-screen text: text the model can identify in the video frames.
These are AI-generated results, not guaranteed verbatim records. Speech, small text and visual details can be missed or misread. Current results do not provide structured, second-by-second evidence citations. The homepage illustrations are design examples, not actual analysis results.
When is EvidoClip useful?
Use EvidoClip when you need both spoken information and text visible in a video, rather than a short summary alone. For example, you can review the steps in a public tutorial, collect notes from an interview, or compare a creator's spoken explanation with labels shown on screen. Verify names, numbers and quotations against the source before publishing them.
Do I need a transcript, a summary or on-screen text?
- A transcript is useful when the wording matters. EvidoClip's transcription is model-generated and should be checked before quoting.
- A summary is useful for deciding whether the full video deserves closer review. It is not a substitute for all details in the original.
- On-screen text helps capture labels, slides or captions that may not be spoken. Small, blurred or briefly displayed text may be missed.
If you only need a video's supplied captions, check whether the original platform already provides them. EvidoClip is intended for reviewing several types of video content together, not for guaranteeing a certified transcript or downloading a reusable copy of the video.
Can I analyze Shorts, Reels and longer videos?
Public YouTube Shorts, TikTok videos and Instagram Reels use the same check-then-confirm workflow. The current maximum is 20 minutes per video. An eligible confirmed account can analyze one video of up to three minutes for free; a longer eligible video needs paid minutes. Being short or publicly viewable does not guarantee that a video can be accessed.
How are paid minutes calculated?
Paid usage rounds the full video duration up to whole minutes: a 21-second video uses one minute and a 3-minute-1-second video uses four minutes. These are calculation examples, not recorded customer results. Precheck shows the quote before you confirm. Failed analysis releases reserved minutes; checking a link alone does not start analysis. Current plans and renewal rules are listed in the service and payment terms.
Which links may fail?
A public URL does not guarantee access. Deleted, private, login-restricted, geographically restricted or otherwise inaccessible videos may fail precheck or processing. EvidoClip does not promise access to every video or bypass access restrictions. Use content you are entitled to process; public availability is not a grant of permission.
What is checked before I spend minutes?
The confirmation step displays video information and expected usage. A confirmed account may use one free analysis for an eligible video up to three minutes, subject to the service's free-use limits. Paid analysis requires sufficient valid minutes. Failed analysis does not consume analysis quota. Consult the current workspace quote and service and payment terms for your transaction.
Can an AI assistant use EvidoClip?
Yes, through its remote MCP endpoint and individual OAuth authorization. The assistant can check a video and, after you confirm expected usage, start analysis and retrieve your result. Read the MCP guide, tool behavior and permissions.
